Personal Background Check – Give Yourself An Online Checkup

Look yourself up online

Get your personal background check

Did I get a surprise when I looked myself up on the Internet. I “Googled” my name and I managed to find out all sorts of things that I would rather not be found. A lot of it was true but there were also a few things that were not. A great deal of it was simply embarrassing and I started to wonder if there was any way to make it go away. A tall order I thought.

A lot of my friends have looked themselves up online and were surprised by what they found. Some of them were horrified by what could be discovered. This is especially true if they searched on a specialized web site like the one in this article. Just imagine what other people might think if they came across it.

Is your online profile stopping you getting a job?

It’s becoming standard practice for employers to use the Internet to check out prospective employees. It’s so easy for them to do that it doesn’t make any sense for them not to. So what will they find if they Google you? What else might they find if they use a public records background checking website?

I make a point of not posting too much personal stuff on the Internet if I can help it. I have a Facebook account but I post on it very rarely nowadays. Not everyone thinks like this though and I have to say neither did I until recently. If you put something on the Internet then it’s potentially there forever and if it’s on the Internet and it’s been made public even for a short while then there’s no telling where it might turn up.

Then there’s the stuff that other people post about you. Some people take great delight in posting pictures of me in embarrassing or unflattering situations then tagging me in them so that there can be no doubt that it’s me. I would rather they didn’t do this but what can you do?

Why is all this important? Well if there is information about you on the Internet then anyone, including your employers or prospective employers, can potentially find it. Ask yourself “would I give myself a job after finding the information available on the Internet”?

What can I do about my damaging online profile?

When you find information about you that is defamatory or incorrect you can email the webmaster and ask them to either remove it or print a retraction of some sort.

But unless the website is doing something illegal, posting your copyrighted material without your consent for instance, then they have no obligation to comply with your wishes. All you can do is ask politely and hope. Some webmasters will do as you ask and others will not.

The best thing that you can do is start posting good things about yourself all over the place. Post to Facebook, Linkedin and other social media sites. Make sure that there are some stories about you doing good things out there. Donate to charities that publish the names of donors.

By splashing your best information around the Internet you will not only be balancing out the bad things that employers and other people can find but you will also be pushing the bad stuff down the search engine listings. If someone searches for your name and the first two pages of results contain all your best posts and pictures then they probably won’t go further.

Personal Background Check – Give Yourself A Cheap Online Checkup

Monday, February 17th, 2014

Cheap nationwide background check

Have you ever Googled yourself just to see what comes up? Yes I bet you have. I know that I’ve searched for myself online more than once and so have most of the people that I know. I’ve even used an inexpensive online background check website to find out even more personal stuff about myself.

Most of my friends who have looked themselves up were surprised by what they found and by just how much of it they could find. Some of them were horrified by what they found. They were even more alarmed when they realized that anyone could find that stuff just by doing a few simple searches on the Internet.

Is your online presence affecting your job prospects?

Have you been turned down from any job applications that you’ve made recently? Were you left wondering why you didn’t get the job even though you are well qualified and a perfect match for the position? It’s possible that they are being put off by what they are finding out about you on the Internet.

Try searching for your name on Google and then do a thorough personal background check online. It doesn’t take long and it isn’t expensive so you have nothing to lose by investigating. You do have a lot to gain however.

It’s worth remembering that if your friends and prospective employers can all find this information about you then so can your dates. Has your relationship unexpectedly ended?

What can people find out about you?

Anyone searching for your name in quotation marks on Google may find all sorts of things including your Facebook and Linkedin profiles and any other social media sites that you belong to. If you’ve ever been mentioned in newspapers or other media reports then these may show up in searches too.

As you are reading this you may be thinking how important it is to make sure that your social media profiles and other stuff that you post on the net is all clean and wholesome and always shows you in a good light. If you are anything like the rest of us you are probably thinking that you wished you had thought about this a few years ago because the damage now has already been done.

There isn’t much you can do to stop other people posting embarrassing pictures of you though is there?

Your social profiles are important and you may be able to clean them up to some extent but there could be other information that is far more damaging to you out there somewhere.

Have you ever been arrested or convicted?

If you have ever been arrested, even if you were completely innocent of all accusations and never even been charged, then the news sites may have published the details and the arrest report may be found on the Internet somewhere.

Arrest reports in the media almost always show you in a bad light. News organizations are quick to splash your name and reason for arrest everywhere but they are far less interested in removing these reports or even printing updates when you get completely cleared of everything. I guess that bad news always makes them more money than good news.

If you do a more focused and comprehensive background check on yourself using a public records web site then you may find even more damaging information.

What can I do if I find damaging or incorrect information?

If you find that a web site is displaying incorrect or defamatory information about you then you can contact the site owners and ask for it to be removed or corrected. This can prove to be very difficult if they refuse your request and contacting all the sites that you want cleaned up can be a daunting task.

You should also look yourself up on public records databases to make sure that everything is up to date and accurate. Again you can contact the website owners to ask for the information to be updated.

Can I get help?

Yes there is help at hand. You can use an online service that specializes in restoring your reputation and privacy. Once you have given them all the relevant information they will do all the hard work for you. You can sit back and relax while they they contact the appropriate webmasters and start reducing the volume of unwanted information that is embarrassing you.

It doesn’t happen overnight but after a while you should notice that the Internet is starting to paint a better picture of you. You can help this picture to improve by making a point of posting all your best stuff on Facebook and anywhere else that you can get your posts to show up publicly.

This way you will eventually push all the remaining bad information about you down the search engine listings never to be seen again.

How To Restore Your Reputation And Privacy

Friday, January 31st, 2014

What shows up in a Google search?

Do you avoid googling your name because you are afraid of what you are going to find? Does it worry the pants off you that anyone can find this information just by doing a simple search of your name? I know that it worries me to death.

What would a prospective employer think about all the embarrassing reports and photos that they can easily find when they do a casual search of the net? If you were the employer would you give yourself a job after finding stuff like that?

What would your date think of the things he or she might find just at a time when the relationship is starting to get interesting? Would she find an old arrest record from the time you were detained but not charged because they had the wrong guy? Perhaps it’s even worse than that.

How to get help with removing bad stuff from the Web

Once something is on the net it is very difficult to get it removed. Sometimes it’s impossible to remove all traces of it even if what’s published is totally false or even infringes your copyright or some other rights. But you can now get professional help with this. There is an online service that will do their very best for you to get things taken down from places where they should not be.

They can’t guarantee to take every trace of everything bad about you off the Internet. Especially if you are trying to remove things that are actually true like a real conviction or something. In most cases Privacy Online can reduce the damage to something more manageable.

Managing what’s left

When Privacy Online have done their job you should see a reduction in the amount of damaging material that can be discovered online about you.

At the same time as you are getting help to have embarrassing things removed from the Web you should consider making a concerted effort to post good stuff about yourself on the net. Write about all the good things you do and post it to Facebook and Google plus and other social media sites. Make a donation to charitable sites that publish the names of their donors. Do something worthwhile in your community and get it reported in online newspapers. Find online forums that interest you and take an active part in discussions.

Everything that you do online has the potential to show up in a Google search listing and the idea behind posting good stuff all over the place is to try and drown out the bad stuff. Your aim is to have nothing but good reports show up on the first page of results when someone searches for your name.

How does the removal process work?

Working with Privacy Online to get your reputation back is as simple and as easy as they could make it. They do all the hard work for you when it comes to approaching webmasters and submitting takedown forms etc. The steps involved can be summarized by:

  1. You place an order with PrivacyOnline
  2. Provide your full information
  3. Upload supporting documentation (such as photo ID, case sealed documents, expungement information, etc…)
  4. Provide a top list of URLs you’d like us to approach for removal
  5. They process your information and start requesting removals
  6. This process takes anywhere from 24 hours to 60 days, depending on the websites

Using PrivacyOnline to recover your online reputation and privacy has to be one of the easiest and most cost effective ways of tackling your poor online footprint. Sign up now and see an improvement in your reputation faster and better than anything that you could do by yourself. Just tell them what you want removed and sit back and wait for the results.

Absolutely Free Background Checks Is It A Myth?

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013

If it’s worth investigating then a background check is valuable

Yes absolutely free investigations are a myth but you can do some very useful background checking for very reasonable prices. In fact if you do it right then
investigating someone online
can cost you less than a cup of good coffee.

Nothing is ever truly free

Everything comes with a price whether it’s your money, someone else’s money or the investment of your time and effort. Doing background checks on someone is no exception. You either have to pay for someone’s services to investigate and discover the secrets in someone’s life or you have to do that work yourself. There is another way though. It may not be as thorough and accurate as hiring an expensive private investigator. Neither is it completely free but looking up someone’s details with a public records web site can not only be effective but it can also work out to be very inexpensive.

Public records web sites are a relatively new option that has been made possible by the incredible advances in Internet technology in recent years. Businesses have seen the need to make public information available to everyone and they have made it their mission to provide you with that very information. Now you can have access to it whenever you meet or do business with people or even when you are simply curious about them.

Background checks the long, hard and inexpensive way

If you know what you are doing then it is often possible to find out a lot of stuff about someone by trawling the Internet using search engines like Google and by physically visiting places where records are kept.

I must declare that I am certainly no expert when it comes to tracking down people in this way but I do know that it will involve you in an awful lot of time consuming searching, traveling and visiting places like court houses and other records offices.

Some of this will also cost you money to transport yourself about and to pay any administrative fees there might be to access the information that you are looking for. Suddenly even this method doesn’t look as inexpensive as you might think it is. In any case I would rather pay a private investigator who knows what they are doing than attempt to do this myself.

Background checks the expensive way

I was going to say that hiring a private investigator is the most expensive way to get some background information on someone but this may not be the case at all. A private eye can be very efficient at what they do. It’s their job. It could be that a good P.I. can find out more information for less money than you can by doing it yourself. Especially if you’ve never done this sort of investigative work before.

Hiring a specialist certainly isn’t going to be a cheap way of digging up secrets on someone but it is probably the most efficient way to find out the maximum amount of information. It is also likely to yield the most reliable data too. These people know what they are doing and that’s what you pay them for.

Investigating professionals generally charge by the hour and the time it takes to do a background check will depend on what information you are interested in and how much of it you want the guy to find for you.

I’m guessing that you may be able to find someone willing to do some basic routine checks for you and only charge the equivalent of perhaps an hour of their time. If you want a more in depth report then you could be paying for as long as it takes which could be a great deal of time.

Background checks the social way

Everyone uses Facebook don’t they? Make sure that you can “friend” him or her and take a look at the stuff they post. Take the time to find out who some of his Facebook friends are. See if you can find any tagged images with him in to give you an idea of the sort of things he gets up to. Mind you that is becoming a sure fire way to find some incriminating images of just about anyone because we have very little control over what other people post on the Internet. Is your own online presence squeaky clean?

The real benefit of getting interested in someone’s online social presence is to find out how they behave. For some reason most people seem to be a lot less inhibited about what they upload to the Internet than they would ever be in the offline world. Don’t they know that anything that they say on line is there forever? Privacy online seems to have been lost along the wayside somewhere.

Get to know his or her friends and try to meet up with some of their online friends out here in the real world. By interacting with their buddies you often get to see a different side of someone. A side of their personality that you would not normally see. This kind of information can potentially be worth far more to you than any background check could be.

Background checks the quick, easy and affordable way

I promised that I would give you a good cheap alternative way to do background checks and here it is. There are web sites on the Internet that strive to fill the gap that obviously exists when it comes to finding out information about people. You want something that is quick and easy to carry out and does not cost more than you can afford.

These public records web sites may not be as accurate or thorough as a good private investigator might be nor will they give you the same insight into someone’s character that you might get from socializing with their friends.

What you can do is
use these public records databases
to find at least something out about most people who you do a search on. Even if it’s just an address it could be useful information. Especially if the guy gave you a different one. The best part is that these web sites are quick to search and very cheap. In fact if you do it right then you can do unlimited background checks on as many people as you want and it doesn’t have to cost you more than the price of a coffee.

Inteligator Review – Access Free Public Records And Background Checks

Inteligator Review Unlimited Public Records

Background check someone now

Inteligator is one of the best and most cost effective web sites for background checks and public records available to you. Unlike many similar web sites that want to charge you for each search that you do, Inteligator allows you to do as many free searches on as many people as you want. Instead of charging you for each search you just pay a small membership fee each month.

You may be wondering at this point why you would want to sign up for a monthly membership when you only want to do a background check on one person or to see if you have any arrest warrants. This is exactly what I thought before I logged in to the Inteligator site to research for this review and I can tell you that I’m totally hooked on it.

How do I find an old friend?

I wanted to do a background search on someone that I hadn’t seen for some time. Well my first search was a waste because I spelled his name wrong but I found the information that I was looking for on my second try. I found his address which is what I was after but that’s not all that I found.

I found his phone number and some names of relatives and neighbors. I could see that he is married and that he owns his own home. There is a lot more in the report but the best part was the link to a Google map where I could even find pictures of his house on Google Street.

I did try using the Birth records search a couple of times but this only gives you a list of names and ages with few details. I found that it’s best to use the Background Check search instead. This gives you the same list of people but also gives you access to the background detail which is much more useful.

Search for arrest warrants and criminal records

Search arrest warrants free with membership Now that I had found him I decided to do a criminal records search and an arrest warrant search on him too. Thankfully I didn’t find any but just to make sure that the system was working I looked up someone who I knew would have a warrant and sure enough the search found him.

Don’t stop there – check out relatives and neighbors too

By this time I was having great fun and I decided to look up his relatives and his neighbors to see if they had and criminal records or arrest warrants. They didn’t but the results from background checks on his relatives turned up the name of someone else I used to know a long time ago.

This is a web site that I’m going to be using more and more for a long time and it was easy to see how it can save you money. If you had used a site that charged you for every search you did then doing what I did to find one old friend would have cost you many months worth of unlimited searches at Inteligator.

Public Records Searches available in the members area:

  • Arrest Warrant Search
  • Arrest Records Search
  • Background Check
  • State Criminal Records Search
  • National Criminal Records Search
  • Sex Offender Search
  • Inmate Search
  • People Search by Name
  • People Search by Address
  • People Search by Phone
  • Reverse Phone Search
  • Business Search
  • Relative Search
  • Neighborhood Check
  • Birth Records Search
  • Marriage Records Search
  • Divorce Records Search
  • Death Records Search
  • Reverse IP Search

Inteligator is easy to use

The Inteligator web site is easy to navigate and remarkably fast considering that there is over a billion records in it’s various databases. You can comfortably look up background checks, arrest warrants and other stuff on several people in less than 10 minutes. The best part is that you can do as many searches as you want for free on as many people as you want as often as you want. It won’t cost you a cent more than your monthly membership fee.

You can’t afford not to have Ineligator working for you

If you are dating then you need to make sure that your dates are telling you the truth and are not criminals. If you hire people to do work for you or invite them into your house then you want to do a background check on them first. If you use babysitters or nannies then you must check them out before leaving them with your child. You might just want to locate people that you haven’t seen in a long time. Inteligator is perfect for doing all of these things and more. Can you afford to be without it? Give it a try. It comes with a very good guarantee which means that you aren’t taking any kind of risk but I think that you will want to keep your membership for a long time to come.

What Does A Background Check Check

Tuesday, April 30th, 2013

What does a background check do?

Guy in handcuffs

Background check someone now

A background check is designed to reveal information about an individual. The actual information searched for will depend to a large extent on the purpose for the check. If you are an employer recruiting people to work with children then you are going to place a very high importance on a comprehensive and accurate investigation into the persons past and present life. On the other hand, if you are simply checking out your neighbor to make sure that you can feel safe in your home then you may not need such a detailed and expensive report.

How accurate is a background check?

The amount of checking that you want to do into someone’s personal life and how complete and accurate you want the results to be all determine how much you have to pay for the investigation and how long you have to wait for the results. A full background check for employment purposes may run into hundreds of dollars but a near-instant national search of a public records database may only cost you a few bucks.

The real question is not so much “What does a background check check?” but rather what could it check and what might it reveal? Depending on how the background searches are performed the results might contain some or all of the following:

  • Criminal records
  • Arrest records
  • Arrest Warrants
  • Sex offender register
  • Homeland security
  • Educational checks references
  • Employment checks references
  • Credit checks
  • Drug screening
  • Past and present addresses
  • Relatives
  • Neighbors

If the background check is performed for employment purposes then it is likely that it will be done after a job offer has been made and could take several months to complete depending on how thorough the checks are and how uch follow up the investigators have to do.

You can do your own background checks

Most comprehensive background checks will involve some searching of national databases which are made up of publicly available records. Anyone can search these databases, including you, and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

Are public records databases ok for background searches?

Public records web sites can do a great job of finding background information for you. The problem with national databases however is that they can never be fully up to date and some information held in them may not be completely accurate. You have to be a little bit careful in how you use them. The professional investigators still use this method as part of their comprehensive search because it is cheap and quick. Any hits that they obtain from the database would be followed up to verify it’s accuracy. If the public records search indicates a criminal record out of state then the appropriate county court records will be examined to verify the record and possibly obtain more information. This part of the investigation can cost a lot of money and take a long time to complete.

Verifying background checks for your date

If you have used a public records database to check out your date and it has revealed a criminal record, would you go to the trouble and expense of verifying the information at the county records office? It might make more sense to simply ask your date about it and walk away if you don’t get a satisfactory answer. Alternatively, if you don’t want to confront him with it then simply walk away now.

Doing a background check using a public records web site could give you more information than you could ever imagine about your friends, neighbors and dates. Why not try doing a background search using an investigation web site like Inteligator. Start getting to really know the people around you.

Look Up Criminal Records And Understand Them

Criminal records and what you can look up online

Background check fingerprint and magnifyer

Background check someone now

Do you want to know how to look up someone’s criminal record? You might be suspicious about a friends behaviour or you might know that they haven’t always been on the right side of the law and you want to find out exactly what they have done. You might have a new date and you want to do a quick background check to find out more about the person. These are just some of the reasons that you might want to look up criminal records but do you know what all the different types of offences mean?

Doing background checks on someone to look up such things as criminal records, email addresses, marriage records, arrest records and much more has never been as easy as it is today. In just a few short years the Internet has turned near impossible tasks into astonishingly simple and quick jobs that can be a pleasure to undertake. In the USA, looking up criminal records and other background information has been made very easy and affordable for you by public records Investigations web sites. You can literally background check everyone you know.

So what types of criminal records might you find and what do they all mean? There are quite a few different categories and it is important that you understand what they all mean.

Misdemeanors

Offences that are considered to be the least serious are called misdemeanors. They include such things as shoplifting, Driving under the influence of alcohol, traffic offenses and other small crimes. Unless the offender has prior criminal record these offences are not likely to result in any custodial sentence. Misdemeanors may not show on all searches and some states do not consider it to be part of your criminal record.

Felonies

A felony can be any crime that is more serious than a misdemeanor. Anything from drug possession to rape and murder. If you see an offence described simply as “Felony” on someone’s criminal record then you should try to find out exactly what felony crime it refers to.

Traffic Violations

Petty traffic offences such as speeding or running a red light do not make it onto someone’s criminal record in all states unless it involved someone getting killed or damaging property or some other more serious result.

Sex Offender listings

For sexual offences it is now normal for the convicted person to be ordered to sign the sex offender register and to keep it informed of their current address. Since the late 1990′s sex offender registers have been maintained in most states in addition to a national register administered by the FBI. If a person is listed on this register then it will show on a criminal records lookup.

Parole and Probation violations

If a prisoner is released on parole, before they have served their full sentence they can be sent back to prison if they do not stick to all of the strict conditions that the parole imposes on them. Someone can be given probation as an alternative to sending them to prison. Again it comes with strict conditions and if the offender breaks any of these then they can be sent to prison. Parole and Probation are very different but violating the conditions of either can result in prison time.

Arrest Records

Arrest records are available for some states and show the date of arrest, what the offense was and what type of offence it is. You might also find other information such as conviction dates, fine amounts, photos etc.

Conviction Record

If the person has been convicted of any offense of any type then this information should be included on their record. There may also be entries resulting from someone being judged delinquent, being dishonorably discharged, placed on probation, fined, imprisoned or paroled by any law enforcement or military authority.

Inmate Records

Information is drawn from U.S. Federal and State prisons and reports may include probation and parole records. You may find a description of the offence, time served, sex, age, release date etc.

So now that you know what all the different types of offences that show on a report are about go and look up criminal records now. It’s easy, fast and affordable.

Find warrants for my arrest

Arrested and muted man

Search for criminal records

Always check your dates

It doesn’t matter who you are or how old you are, you still need to be very careful when you date someone. I’ve just been reading an article about a mature lady who paid a dating agency a lot of money to find and vet a suitable partner for her only to find that the man they fixed her up with had a string of convictions to his name.

Now you might have expected that the dating agency would have made reasonable efforts to check whether it’s members have criminal records or not. After all this wasn’t a cheap online dating site, the fees were thousands of dollars and for that I think that price you should expect a thorough service. Apparently this didn’t happen in this case.

Why pay an expensive dating agency?

You may ask yourself why anyone would want to pay so much money to an agency just to find a date. There are plenty of free dating web sites on the Internet that you can use after all. I’m guessing that they do it because they think that the agency will protect them in some way from getting a bad apple. It’s also possible that they think that the more they pay then the more protection they are going to get. Unfortunately this isn’t always the case.

So if you can’t rely on someone else to background check your dates for you then what can you do? I would suggest that wherever possible you take responsibility for checking people out yourself. There is no harm in employing an agency who should be doing this for you of course but even if you do then do make sure that you do some simple online checks yourself. This way you can be sure that you have done everything that you can to make sure that you stay safe.

Background check your date

Before you ever do anything serious with a new friend, no matter how you met them, check them out online. There are some very well established background checking web sites on the Internet that you can use very cheaply. Not only do they work like convict search engines to show you previous convictions and arrest warrants that your date might have but they can also tell you a lot more about your friend too. Possibly more than you could ever expect from a dating agency or web site.

When I first started using background checking web sites to investigate people I wanted to know the big stuff like has he got any convictions or warrants out for him? Sometimes I was interested to know whether someone had been made bankrupt or not. A pretty important point when you are considering the possibility of spending the rest of your life with someone.

Investigating people can be fun

I hadn’t been investigating people online for very long before I realized that there was so much more information that you can potentially find out about someone by using these web sites. You can check their address and phone number for a start. You can then go on to check if there are any marriage or divorce records. Did he tell you that he wasn’t married? Now you might be able to catch him out.

When you have done all that you can even find information about relatives and neighbors. It’s a whole lot of fun and can be very addictive once you get started.

Online investigations web sites gather together as much publicly available information that they can find into one enormous database. They can never be completely accurate or 100% complete of course but new records are added all the time and if you find something in there that gives you reason for concern then you should challenge your friend with it. It is always better to be safe than sorry so remember, make sure that your friend isn’t hiding his past from you. No dating without background checking first.

Arrest Warrant Checks For iPhone and Android

Monday, May 21st, 2012

Make sure you know the people you are with

Check arrest records
Check your date
Background checks

I’ve been using public records web sites for years to find people and to check out my dates. I like to make sure that they have no arrest warrants or criminal records that I don’t know about. I do it just to make sure that I’m going to stay safe with the people around me and to re-connect with old friends.

Arrest Warrants

Warrants for arrest are issued by courts when the police suspect you of a crime and apply to the court for one. A bench warrant can also be issued by the court itself if you have failed to turn up or not paid a fine or something similar. Warrants and arrest records can be searched for using public records databases but you must bear in mind that simply being arrested doesn’t automatically mean that the person has done anything wrong. You can often find arrest records and warrants, if they have any, by doing a background check on them online.

Doing background checks when you are out

Smartphones like iPhone or Android powered devices are the in thing nowadays. Most of my friends have either one or the other. A few others have similar devices with different operating systems but they do appear to be in the minority. A smart phone is just that, a cell phone that is smart enough to surf the web and run small applications known as apps. It’s like taking your computer with you wherever you go. The iPhone was the first of this breed on the market but Android devices are quickly catching up and personally, I prefer Android to iPhone because I find it more versatile and it fits my needs better.

About a year ago I took the plunge and got myself an Android smartphone. I found that I could now use the same public records sites to check people out when I’m on the move. I didn’t have to wait until I got home any more, I could meet someone in a bar and check them out with my cell phone right there. It was amazing how much better I felt about meeting new people now that I didn’t have to wait to find out about them. I never even considered that there might be an even better way to do it.

More recently I’ve noticed that some of the web sites that I like to visit are different when I look at them on my phone. When I’m at home on my PC I see a conventional full size web site but when I look at the same site on my phone I get a different version which is much better suited to being viewed on a tiny browser screen. This got me thinking that there might be a better way for me to do checks on people when I’m out.

Mobile web sites

What makes a mobile web site different to a conventional web site that you might see on your computer? The challenge for the mobile site designer is to provide pages that can be used easily and usefully on a device with a tiny screen and a less than perfect keyboard. On top of that the mobile pages have to cope with being controlled by your finger on the touch screen. Fingers are poor substitutes for your PC mouse.

So expect to see larger text, bigger buttons and easily navigated screens. All of which will help you to find the information you need and do your background checks quickly with the least amount of fuss. Using a good mobile optimized public records web site can be a breath of fresh air after struggling with huge web sites on your phone.

Mobile sites also tend to have less content in order to de-clutter the screens. Anything that isn’t strictly required for the task in hand is left off which can help a lot when using the site. But don’t think that you are losing out by Using Everify because there is a link at the bottom of the mobile pages for the web version of the site.

How do I find out if someone is married

New love can burn so brightly that it blinds you to all but what you want to see. Have you stopped to consider that your new boyfriend or girlfriend might have a spouse at home already? I bet you haven’t and why should you suspect anything? I mean he’s charming, good looking and really turns you on right. Well I guess that you wouldn’t be reading this if you didn’t have even a little doubt about your new lover so how can you find out if someone is married?

1: Ask his friends if he’s married

Ok this is an obvious thing to do but many people overlook it. If you know any of his friends then get to know them a bit better and ask them about your boyfriend. Usually they will be only too pleased to tell you all about him, the bad as well as the good so it can be an invaluable source of information. Most people will warn you if there’s anything that you should be concerned about so if they are married, or are already in a relationship, then there is a good chance that they will tell you.

If you find that the friends are less than talkative and avoid your questions then you should start worrying. The person you are talking to may know something that they feel you ought to know but they don’t want to be the one to tell you. They might give you a hint, a little warning like “be careful” or “I don’t want you to get hurt”. This should start alarm bells ringing right away and you should be looking for other ways to find out if he’s married.

2: Ask your boyfriend or girlfriend if they’re married

This sounds even more obvious than asking his friends doesn’t it? But you assume that he’s not married don’t you? If he’s married what is he doing going out with you? A good question so ask it. Be direct and come straight out with it to give yourself the element of surprise.

Now he’s going to say “no of course I’m not married” whether he is or not so you must pay close attention to the way he says it. If he looks uneasy and avoids making eye contact with you when he answers then he could be lying to you. If this happens then ask “are you sure you’re not married”. If he starts to sweat or gets annoyed then that too can be a sign that all is not as it appears.

3: Do a lie detector test on him

No I don’t mean that you should strap him up to a polygraph or anything like that. There is an easier and altogether more relaxing way do do it. All you have to do is talk to him a lot and ask him a lot of questions. You do this anyway right so it’s no big deal.

The trick to detecting lies is to really listen to the answers that he gives you. If today he tells you he’s an airline pilot but last week he told you that he was scared of heights and that he has poor eyesight then this might just be a lie. If he tells you that he’s a doctor but you can’t figure out when he actually studied and worked as one then this could also be a lie.

Look for inconsistencies in the things that he tells you. Remember it only takes one lie to make him a liar. If you can find just one thing that you know is definitely a lie then how can you trust anything else he’s told you?

4: Do an online background check on your boyfriend to find out if he’s married

When you’ve found out all you can about your boyfriend or girlfriend by talking to him or his friends you can do an online background check on him to find out not only whether he’s married or not but also whether he has a criminal record, whether he has arrest warrants or has ever been declared bankrupt. In fact you can often find out practically anything you might want to know and if it all matches with what he’s telling you then you can put your mind to rest and take your relationship to wherever you want it to go. If it doesn’t then walk away.
