If you learn what an arrest warrant is and how to find out if you have one then you might just stay out of trouble with the police.

Click to check for arrest warrants

It’s easier than you might think to end up with warrants for your arrest. Sometimes you don’t know that you’ve done anything wrong and it’s even possible to get an arrest warrant for something you haven’t done. If you do have a warrant then sooner or later the cops will come and arrest you. Checking for arrest warrants regularly could buy you enough valuable time to allow you to do something about it before you get arrested.

I’m going to go over some of the ways that you can end up with a warrant for your arrest and tell you how you can easily find out if you have one.

Have you been exceeding the speed limit or failed to pay a fine?

You might have forgotten to turn up in court when you should have done or you were late paying a fine. If you have done either of these then you could have an arrest warrant. Have you done any community service that was ordered by a court but you haven’t told them that you’ve done it. You might simply have picked up a fine for speeding and forgotten to pay it.

You might be forgiven for thinking that you must have committed a crime of some sort to have a warrant out on you but this isn’t always the case. You can be a model citizen and still have the cops knock on your door in the middle of the night. The police only have to think that you’re responsible for some wrongdoing and if they have anything that looks like evidence then they can get a warrant for your arrest.

Don’t ignore a warrant for arrest because it’s so much better to give yourself up

It doesn’t matter how you get a warrant. It won’t change the fact that you will end up in court and when you do what do you think that the judge will think if the police had to chase you down and arrest you? I think that you might expect to get treated much more sympathetically if you’ve handed yourself in voluntarily. If you learn about the warrant early enough then you will have time to engage a lawyer which will also be much better for you in the long run.

Has someone stolen your identity?

If you’ve the unknowing victim of identity theft then you could have many arrest warrants out on you in all sorts of places. Identity theft seems to be getting more and more common and noone is immune from it. The worst part about it is that it might be a long time before you figure out that you’re a victim during which time you could have had money stolen from your bank accounts or your impersonator may have committed crimes against someone else. If they did it in your name then it’s you who gets the warrant. Sad but true.

You can find out if you have arrest warrants in less than 5 minutes

The best way to check for arrest warrants is to use an online service that uses public data from hundreds if not thousands of online and offline sources. Using one of these web sites means that you don’t need to try and guess where the warrants might be because all the information is in one place. It’s easy, convenient, 100% confidential and a search can often be done in less than 5 minutes. Give it a try now.

Never ask a cop if there is an arrest warrant out on you

Click to find warrants for arrest

If a police officer knows that there is a warrant of arrest issued on you then he will most likely arrest you on the spot. So the last thing you want to do if you think you have a warrant is to ask a cop to look it up. If you get arrested then you’ve just missed your chance to do something about the court order before you get arrested.

Have you forgotten to pay a fine? Do you even know that you have a fine? Have you been driving too fast and picked up a ticket that you haven’t been notified of yet? You might have forgotten to attend court or failed to do some community service. You might even have had your identity stolen and someone has committed a crime in your name.

You might be a victim of criminal identity theft

If someone steals your identity it’s called identity theft. If someone steals your identity and commits a crime posing as you then it’s called criminal identity theft. If someone has done this to you then you could have warrants for arrest in all sorts of places for all sorts of offences and you won’t have any idea that they exist. This is a bad position to be in and it’s almost impossible to stop it from happening.

Having your identity stolen is a horrible thing to have happen to you and victims will tell you that the longer it goes undetected then the worse the experience is. Criminal identity thieves can wipe out your savings, obtain documents and commit crimes all in your name without you knowing unless you’re constantly on the look out for signs that something is wrong. Checking for arrest warrants is something that you can do to help discover identity theft early.

If you know that there are active arrest warrants on you then you have a chance to do something about them before the situation gets out of hand. The sooner you learn about them the better.

Ask at courthouses

If you know where your warrants might have been issued then you can go to the courthouse and ask. If you don’t know where the warrants might be then you’re going to have a problem because you won’t know which courthouse to enquire at. You can’t ask them all can you? If you’ve had your identity stolen then you might have warrants anywhere. Traveling to each and every courthouse to ask if you might have an active warrant is simply not feasible to do.

Use an online public records database

Luckily there are web sites on line that specialise in finding information such as active arrest warrants on people. They soak up public and private records databases from thousands of different sources and make them all available to you at the click of a button. This is your best chance of finding out information about arrest warrants and all sorts of other things. You can do it right from your PC, it’s fully confidential and most searches should take less than 5 minutes. Because it’s so quick and easy you can afford to do it regularly and make sure that you stay out of trouble.

Find out if you’ve got any active arrest warrants right away because you can’t afford to leave it even a minute longer.

Arrest Warrants | How Criminal Identity Theft Can Get You A Warrant

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Getting your identity stolen could mean getting arrest warrants

Find arrest warrants

Having your identity stolen can be one of the most stressful things that you will ever have to go through. It’s right up there in the stress stakes with bereavement and divorce believe it or not. If someone steals your identity they can potentially ruin you financially. They can also get you an arrest warrant in some cases. The best way to combat the arrest warrant problem is to make sure that you discover them early and deal with them before the situation gets out of hand.

One of the main reasons, in my opinion, for the apparent increase in identity theft is the Internet. It’s a great tool and I couldn’t do without it but with it’s many benefits it has brought a few problems. One of these problems is the ease with which someone can get hold of your personal details and use them to impersonate you. The more information that exists on the Internet and the more transactions that are made all increase the risk of this happening.

You can take simple common sense precautions to reduce your risk of information theft but you can’t eliminate it altogether. The more information that is stored digitally the more the risk. Especially when government officials seem to be so prone to loosing disks with your details on.

How does criminal identity theft get you an arrest warrant?

Imagine that a thief has gained access to enough of your personal information to be able to impersonate you. The thief then goes and steals a car or holds up a store and gets caught. The thief gets a good lawyer, persuades the court to let him/her out on bail and then simply disappears. The court then issues a warrant for your arrest because the thief has been using your identity.

The above is a made up situation and you might say that this should never happen. The police should have verified the thief’s identity but do they always have the time to do that? especially if the crime was committed in a different area.

Sort out arrest warrant problems quickly

When you have an arrest warrant your best course of action is to get it sorted as soon as possible. this applies whether you actually committed the offence or not. The police don’t care whether you are guilty, it’s not their job. It is their job to arrest you and they will do it when you least expect it. Make sure that you discover your arrest warrants before the police come to arrest you.

Arrest Warrants | How to Find Out How Many Criminals Are Active in Your Neighborhood

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Do you know where the criminals are in your area

Find someone’s criminal record

Recently I happened to be talking to someone about how important it was to know if you have an arrest warrant. What this person told me took me by surprise and it turned my thinking on it’s head.

I said that if you wanted to avoid the stress and financial loss, not to mention the embarrassment that would happen to you if the police came and arrested you on a warrant unexpectedly one day then you have to make regular checks to see if you have an arrest warrant anywhere in the country. If you know that you have a warrant then you can get a lawyer and go and hand yourself in voluntarily which not only is the right thing to do but it will also lead to the best outcome for you.

If you get an arrest warrant then simply move to another state to avoid it

I must have touched a nerve in the stranger that I was talking to because what he said to me next left me speechless. He laughed and told me that both he and his wife both had active arrest warrants in a different state and they simply moved to avoid them. Apparently they had warrants in other states dating back years and they haven’t been caught yet.

It’s too expensive to enforce arrest warrants across states

I was trying to keep the conversation light hearted at this point because I started to get a very uneasy feeling but I wanted to find out more. Apparently the police don’t enforce warrants for arrest across states because it’s too expensive for them. I guess that they think that if a criminal has moved away from their area then they are someone else’s problem.

The person that told me this then informed me that moving state was a very common method of evading the law and that he knew of many more criminals living in the area that had moved to escape capture in states where they had committed crimes.

Anyone in your area could have an arrest warrant

The implications of what I was being told started to dawn on me and I realized that this was a big problem. Why? Because it means that literally anyone in your neighborhood or any one of your work buddies or anyone that you invite into your home, could be criminals in another state. That’s a frightening thought isn’t it?

Protect yourself by knowing who the criminals are

So what can you do about it?  Sign up at a public records web site where you can check out the arrest warrants, criminal records and other background information on anyone you want. It’s not expensive compared with the peace of mind that you’ll get from knowing where the criminals are. Start by checking out the people that you have most contact with and especially anyone that you are considering hiring to do any work for you. Then you can check out all the people that live in your area.

If you are brave then you can tip off the police about the whereabouts of these criminals trying to evade warrants. The least you should do is stay away from them and don’t invite them into your home.

Can you do a free arrest warrant check?

Find arrest warrants now

If you think that you might have an arrest warrant or you want to check to see if someone else has one then you can search free arrest warrants by asking at the courthouse where the warrant was issued. If you are enquiring about your own warrants then you should have no problem getting the information. If you want to check out someone else then you might have to justify the request. There is also a simple way to find out if someone has a warrant for arrest even when you don’t know where it was issued.

Why do you want to search for arrest warrants?

The ability to check to see if you have a warrant for arrest can be very useful. You can make sure that you don’t get any surprises in the middle of the night from police calling to arrest you. If you know about your warrants before it gets to that then you can get a lawyer and hand yourself in voluntarily. You will get on much better with the court than if the cops had to drag you there.

If you are thinking of getting married, or employing someone, then it’s a very good idea to check to see if the person you are dealing with has any arrest warrants before you do something you might regret later.

Some warrants are easier to find than others

It’s quite easy to do a free arrest warrant check on yourself if you know where the warrant might have been issued. It’s just a matter of checking the court where the warrant was issued either online if they allow it or by visiting the records office in person.

It’s not so easy to find arrest warrants if the warrants were issued somewhere else. This could happen if you have had your identity stolen or you are trying to check out someone before you get too involved with them. Not all arrest warrants are available free online and visiting all the courthouses in the country isn’t very practical.

free check for arrest warrants nationally

There is no easy way to search free arrest warrants nationally but if you are prepared to make a small investment you will find that it’s very easy to check if someone has arrest warrants no matter where they were issued or who it is you’re checking out.

You can search for arrest warrants on almost anyone, anywhere in the country in less than 10 minutes. You can do this by using an online service that specializes in collecting arrest warrant information together with all kinds of background information from thousands of different sources from all over the country. All this information then goes into a huge database waiting for you to access it online.

Find Your Warrants Before The Cops Come For You

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Why did Allan Warrington have the cops banging on his door at 3am one Sunday morning?

Find active arrest warrants

Allan Warrington is a accountant for a large firm of consultants where he has worked for 10 years. He’s a quite sort, hard working and good at his job. He keeps himself to himself although he does like to let himself go occasionally. I expect that you do too. Allan has never been in trouble with the law – he hasn’t even ever had so much as a parking ticket in all of his life. So why did the police have an arrest warrant for him and why did they practically break his door down that morning?

Have you had your identity stolen?

It all started 3 years ago when Allan left his wallet in a coffee bar one lunchtime. He had put it on the table and left without picking it up. Have you ever done this? I know that I have. He realized what he had done as soon as he got to work and decided to go back for it right away.

When he got to the table he had been sitting at, the wallet was gone of course. Luckily it had been handed in to the staff who had put it under the counter for him. Allan was very relieved to get his wallet back and made a quick note to himself to never do that again. Then he forgot about it – until 3am that morning.

Your wallet only has to be out of your sight for a few minutes for someone to get all the information that they need to steal your identity and this is what had happened to Allan. They took his credit card numbers, his drivers licence details, his address and any other information that they could find. He even had some receipts for ATM withdrawals that the thief could use to verify his account with.

Identity thieves can get you into a lot of trouble with the police

Somehow the thief had managed to get a duplicate copy of his drivers licence and opened a credit card account in his name but this was no ordinary thief. He didn’t go on a spending spree right away like you might imagine. Instead he used Allan’s identity as a get out of jail card when he finally got caught for one of his many crimes.

The thief had been caught committing a serious crime but nevertheless he was granted bail and let free. Of course that was the last the police saw of him so the court issued a Bench Warrant for his arrest. Except that he had given the authorities Allan’s name when he was arrested so the police were now looking to arrest him and not the thief.

Allan’s story is fictitious but it does happen and it could happen to you.

The cops can serve an arrest warrant on you at any time

Unless the crime is very serious it may take some time before the police catch up with you. They might arrest you if you get pulled over for a traffic violation. They can do a check on you and find the warrant. If not then the police will search you out when they are ready which could be some time later.

Find out about warrants for arrest before the cops knock on your door

You will usually get much better cooperation from the authorities if you take steps to deal with any arrest warrants before the police come to arrest you. This applies whether you committed the crime or not. But if you didn’t commit the crime then how do you know that you have a warrant?

It’s easy to do an online background check on yourself

The simplest way to keep one step ahead of the law is to make regular checks on yourself using an online public records database. There are web sites that allow you to quickly search through arrest records and other publicly available records from all over the country. This is good because you never know where the crime might have been committed or where the arrest warrant is issued. When you discover that you have a warrant then you can seek legal advice and set about repairing the damage that the thief has caused you.

How Can Speed Traps Get You An Arrest Warrant

Monday, October 19th, 2009

How do speed traps work and why do I have a warrant for arrest?

Find your arrest warrants now

Getting caught breaking the speed limit is a lot easier than you think it is. Even when you are sure that you are obeying the law at all times it’s the easiest thing in the world to let your speed creep up a little and before you realize it… bam… you’ve been caught in a trap. You might not know that you’ve been caught and you could easily miss the letter they send you. If you don’t receive the citation or you ignore it then sooner or later you’re going to get an arrest warrant and then you will get arrested.

Police radar speed traps

Radar speed traps work by beaming out a radio wave that bounces off your car back to the radar speed gun. Using the same principle that changes the sound of a train as it gets closer to you, the radar trap can tell how fast you are going. The technical term for ths is the “doppler effect”.

You can buy devices for your car that alert you to any police radar traps in the vicinity by monitoring the low level radio waves that they give out. This can help you to avoid getting caught driving too fast.

Laser speed traps

Laser speed guns use laser light instead of radio waves and are steadily replacing the radar speed trap. Lasers are much harder to detect in your car so your radar detector isn’t going to help you here. You could get laser speed checked and get a citation possibly leading to an arrest warrant without you even knowing anything about it.

How to combat the new technology

Well you can’t detect a laser speed trap in the area so you could try keeping your speed down but you and I both know that it just isn’t that easy is it? It is so easy for you just to relax for a moment or make a small mistake in judgement and speeding is only one of many offences that you can pick up while driving.

Find out about warrants before you get arrested

New technology means that you can’t avoid getting caught and luckily new technology allows you to find out quickly when you have a warrant so that you can deal with it as painlessly as possible. This isn’t ideal but it’s a whole lot better than getting dragged off to jail on a warrant. You can search for your arrest warrants using online public records. This is a lot easier than going to your courthouse to enquire about warrants and even if you did it would only work if you got the warrants in your state. You can’t realistically check every courthouse in the land on a regular basis.

Remember how speed traps work and keep your speed down to avoid getting citations. Check regularly to make sure you haven’t picked up an arrest warrant.

What Is A Warrant For Arrest And Why You Should Care

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

Check yourself for active arrest warrants today

Find active arrest warrants

Checking for arrest warrants is one of the most important background checks you will ever do on yourself, or on anyone else for that matter. If you’ve got a warrant for arrest and you choose to ignore it then you could find yourself with a hefty fine or a vacation in jail. So what exactly is an arrest warrant?

There are 2 kinds of warrant that can get you arrested

There are two forms of warrant that you can get arrested for. There are Bench Warrants and Arrest Warrants. Arrest Warrants are issued by a court when the police present adequate evidence that you might have committed a crime. Bench Warrants on the other hand are issued by the court when you fail to do something that the court has told you to do like pay a fine, do community service or even just turn up on time.

Being aware of arrest warrants when they’re issued is very important and could save you a lot of money or even prevent you getting thrown into jail. The first thing you should do is find out if you have a warrant for your arrest using an online public records database. If you do have one then you should get yourself a lawyer as soon as possible and arrange to hand yourself in.

Give yourself up before they start chasing you

The trick is to give yourself up to the court before the police come looking for you. It will be the difference between walking into court voluntarily and being dragged in handcuffed by the police. Which of these two scenarios do you think will gain you the most sympathy and favourable treatment from the court?

Don’t waste time, check for arrest warrants now and make sure that you check regularly in the future.

Discover warrants for arrest and get treated favorably by the courts

Find an arrest warrant

If the police come looking for you with an arrest warrant then they will arrest you and take you in. It doesn’t matter whether you committed the offence or not, if you have a warrant for arrest then the police are obliged to arrest you. Arrest Warrants: Check For Arrest Warrants And Avoid Being Left At The Altar

Stacy wishes that she had done a background check on her boyfriend

Check for active arrest warrants now

Stacy Savill works in IT as a software developer and feels safe and at home with the internet and computers. When she found herself single again after being a couple for so long it was only natural for her to turn to the Internet to help her to find a new boyfriend.

Like so many people these days Stacy leads a busy life and finds it very difficult to meet new people the conventional way. She doesn’t have the time to hang out in bars and take evening classes so she uses the Internet for it’s awesome effectiveness and time saving qualities and it works.

Before long Stacy had found herself a new cyber buddy. They exchanged emails regularly and had long sessions on Messenger getting to know each other. They hit it off well and after a few weeks of virtual meetings they decided to meet in the physical world. They lived reasonably close so arranging to meet wasn’t a problem.

Your first date with your online friend

They met for the first time in a public place in the middle of the day and Stacy made sure that a friend knew where she was going and whom she was meeting. She clearly had her safety in mind and was doing all the right things.

Tom was engaging and charming and always said the right things to Stacy. He bought her flowers and little gifts, which made Stacy feel warm, safe and wanted. The romance went on for six months before Tom finally popped the question and asked Stacy to marry him. Stacy agreed without hesitation.

Why was Stacy waiting at the altar?

Find out who your boyfriend really is

Seven weeks later Stacy found herself waiting at the altar for her beloved but Tom was late. So late that Stacy was worried that he wasn’t going to turn up and sent people to investigate.

It turned out that Tom had been stopped and arrested on his way to the church. He had arrest warrants for child abuse and had broken bail by failing to return to court. And that’s not all, six more warrants came to light later covering everything from traffic offences to domestic violence. Stacy had no idea about Tom’s past or his life when they weren’t together.

Do a background check and don;t leave things to chance

As you can imagine Stacy was devastated by this and couldn’t believe how she’d been taken in so easily. Not to mention the expense of the wedding that never happened. What did she do wrong?

This story is fictitious, the names are disguised and the events described never happened. I made up the story to illustrate a very real problem that so many people find themselves in when they meet new people. If only Stacy had done a simple background check on Tom before she met him for the first time, or at any time after that.

Online background checks

Doing background checks on people using online public records databases is very easy and very affordable. You don’t need to be a computer whiz to do it either. Doing background searches on everyone you meet can help you to sleep well at night and avoid being left at the altar.

I think that Stacy had a narrow escape. If Tom hadn’t been stopped and taken to jail on an arrest warrant on his way to the church it could have been years before she found out and then the story might have been much worse.
