How to protect your children by getting a background check done on them
Do a background check on someone
You want to give your kids the very best start in life and education plays a very important role. Hiring a home tutor to give your children an edge in an increasingly competitive world is becoming more and more commonplace. But how do you know if your home tutor is an honest and suitable person to be tutoring your child?
Always take up references
One thing that you must always do before you hire your home tutor is to ask for and check out their references. This should apply to anyone you invite into your home and is especially important if they are to have contact with your children.
Get the names of at least 2 people that the tutor has worked for in the past. Be sure to give them both a call and ask them how it all went with them and the tutor. Make sure that you ask the question “would you hire them again” because the answer to this can be very enlightening.
Most people will avoid saying anything bad about someone if they can but if they didn’t like the tutor then they probably won’t say anything good about them either. If they tell you that they wouldn’t use them again then I suggest that you look for another tutor.
How to do a background check on someone
Before you hire your tutor it’s a very good idea to do a background check by using an online public records database. You can find out if they have a criminal record or have warrants out for their arrest. They might even be a known sex offender and I bet that you want to know about that don’t you?
It’s now easier than it’s ever been to do background checks on people. By using public online records databases. You can find out practically everything about anyone and you can do it from the comfort of your own home.
