This story is made up. It never happened but it could happen and it could happen to you.

How Do Speed Traps lead to your Warrant

Isn’t technology wonderful. Until recently, if the police wanted to catch you driving your car too fast then they would have to follow you in a police car for a while to match your speed then stop you and write you out a ticket. You knew what was happening back then. There was no mistaking that you had just picked up a speed violation and you had to do something about it because a cop has just told you to.

Those were the days but it’s all different now. You can pick up speeding tickets and other violations while you are driving without even being aware that you were doing anything wrong let alone getting caught doing it. You only have to drive past a police radar speed trap a little too fast and that’s enough to trigger a citation. You will get it in the mail a few days or even weeks later. If you ignore the letter or it gets lost in the mail then it’s likely that you’ll end up with a warrant for your arrest.

Police radar speed traps can be detected

Have you ever stood at the side of a rail track when a train is approaching and noticed that the sound the train makes changes in pitch as it gets closer to you then further away again. This is called the “doppler effect” and the technique is used in radar speed traps to catch you exceeding the speed limit. The difference is that radar uses radio waves instead of sound but the principle is the same.

Radar speed guns send out beams of radio waves that tend to go in all directions not just directed at your vehicle. The radio waves can be detected by installing a simple device in your car which can alert you to the fact that there is a radar speed trap in the area and give you time to slow down and avoid getting a ticket.

Police Laser speed traps are harder to detect

Your radar detector won’t be any help to you against the new breed of laser speed guns which are fast replacing the old radar gun trap. Laser speed detector guns send out a narrow beam of light which shines on your car and the equipment actually measures the time that it takes the light beam to hit your car and return to the gun. This is a very accurate way of measuring speed and it’s also very difficult to detect one in operation because there is only one beam of light to detect.

There are no electronic counter measures that I know of that can effectively give you an early warning of a laser speed trap. This means that you could get a letter in the mail unexpectedly at almost any time. Don’t ignore it when it comes because it could turn into an arrest warrant if you do.

What can you do about this new technology?

Well you could try obeying the law and keeping your speed under the limit at all times. This is easier said than done of course. First you have to make sure that you know what the speed limit is at all times then you have to keep your speed under it all the time. It only takes one small mistake on your part and you’ve just picked up a ticket.

If you can’t avoid getting caught in a police speed trap then you must make sure that you pay the fine or protest your innocence as soon as possible. Yes the police do make mistakes so it’s worth making sure that you were actually there when they say you were. If for some reason the fine turns into a warrant then you can takes steps to find out about it as soon as possible and deal with it before you get arrested.

Use new technology to find out about warrants before the cops come to arrest you

It’s now possible to search the entire country to find out if you’ve got an arrest warrant. Only recently has new Internet technology been available to enable you to do this. It’s so simple that you can do a comprehensive search in much less than 10 minutes. This means that you can do it regularly to find out if you’ve picked up any warrants because you never got the letter or you’ve forgotten to pay the fine.

It’s becoming increasingly more difficult to avoid getting arrest warrants so make sure that you find out about them fast when they do pop up. Once you’ve found out that you have one, deal with it as soon as you can. Speak to a lawyer to make sure that you do things the right way. You can become a human lie detector by learning how to talk to people, ask them the right questions and really listen to what they tell you. If someone is married but they don’t want you to know then they will have to lie to you to keep the secret. All you have to do is detect the lies that you’re being told. It isn’t difficult once you understand the simple technique that anyone can learn. If they can lie about one thing then they can lie about not being married.

Ask lots of questions

Have a list of questions ready to ask your date whenever you are together or speak on the phone or Internet chat etc. Don’t ask them all at once though or he might realize what you’re doing and either back off or become extra cautious in what he tells you. You want to keep the conversations relaxed and natural for this to work properly.

You might want to write out a list of questions that you want to ask – make sure to leave the list at home when you’re on a date. Pick one or two of them before you go out and make a point of working them into the conversation.

Check marriage records

Ask him one or two things from this list when you talk:

  • Is he married? You can come right out with it – If he has nothing to hide then he won’t mind.
  • What work does he do?

You can ask whatever questions you want. The list above is just to give you some ideas. The more questions you ask the easier it will be for you to detect any lies and it can be fun asking questions. The trick is to listen and remember the answers that he gives. The first chance that you get you should write down the answers so that you can look back at them later.

Be patient. Sooner or later a liar will give themselves away

The more questions you ask and the more time that passes the more likely it will be that your new lover will slip up and give the game away. You see it’s actually very difficult to tell convincing lies and carry them off over a period of time. I can’t remember conversations that I had yesterday so remembering what lie I might have told a week ago would be very hard. Only the most accomplished liars and confidence tricksters would be able to do this effectively.

By making notes of the answers you are getting it will become glaringly obvious to you when you’ve been told a lie because something won’t add up. “Last week you told me you did this but now your telling me you did something else” – Know what I mean? If he can lie to you about this then he might have lied about not being married too.

A few years ago it might have been a near impossible task to find someone who was in federal prison unless you had a good idea of where they were before you began. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I had need to find someone recently. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and you can get a lot of the information for free. If you can’t find them using free methods or you want to dig a bit deeper into the persons background or criminal record then this is easy to do too if you don’t mind paying the small fee involved. I found that it was more than worth it for the wealth of information that I found out.

Step 1: Try the BOP Federal Inmate Lookup and USA.gov State Corrections Departments search

If the person you are looking for is in a federal prison then you should be able to look them up on the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) web site. at www.bop.gov. The site provides a searchable inmates listing which isn’t too difficult to use. It claims to list all federal inmates since 1982.

To use the free inmate locator type in the details of the person that you’re looking for and click the button to see an inmates listing together with the names of the prisons where each person is being held. If they’re still being held in prison the list will also give you a link to the facilities web site. When you do this the site might give you a long list of inmates unless the person you’re searching for has a particularly unusual name. If you get a long list then you need to somehow filter the list to find which one, if any, of the inmates is the person that you are looking for. This can be harder than it sounds.

If you don’t find the person that you are looking for on the federal BOP site it might be that they are being held in a State Correction facility and not a federal one. If this is the case then you can search for them up on the answers.usa.gov web site. The problem is that you either have to know exactly where they might be held or you have to do a search on about 37 different web sites. This is possible but it might take you some time. Also not all the correctional facilities publish their records online.

Step 2: Fine tune your search by getting some background information

When you’ve done your searches on the free sites above and you’ve filtered your results by sex, race and age you might still be left with several names on the inmates listing and you’re not sure which one of them, if any of them at all, is the person that you’re looking for. If this happens then you need to get more background information on them.

If you are lucky then you won’t need to look any further than the BOP and state web sites. They are free to use and you may well find exactly what you are looking for. If you don’t find the person that you are looking for or you want to get a background check on them to find out more about their criminal record or other information then you can use a public records web site to find what you need. This web site uses public records from all over the country and gives you easy access to them. Not only will it make it easier for you to find someone in prison, it will also give you access to as much information on them that you could want.

1: Ask his friends if he’s married

Ok this is an obvious thing to do but many people overlook it. If you know any of his friends then get to know them a bit better and ask them about your boyfriend. This sounds even more obvious than asking his friends doesn’t it? But you assume that he’s not married don’t you? If he’s married what is he doing going out with you? A good question so ask it. Be direct and come straight out with it to give yourself the element of surprise.

Now he’s going to say “no of course I’m not married” whether he is or not so you must pay close attention to the way he says it. If he looks uneasy and avoids making eye contact with you when he answers then he could be lying to you. If this happens then ask “are you sure you’re not married”. If he starts to sweat or gets annoyed then that too can be a sign that all is not as it appears.

3: Do a lie detector test on him

No I don’t mean that you should strap him up to a polygraph or anything like that. There is an easier and altogether more relaxing way do do it. All you have to do is talk to him a lot and ask him a lot of questions. You do this anyway right so it’s no big deal.

The trick to detecting lies is to really listen to the answers that he gives you. If today he tells you he’s an airline pilot but last week he told you that he was scared of heights and that he has poor eyesight then this might just be a lie. If he tells you that he’s a doctor but you can’t figure out when he actually studied and worked as one then this could also be a lie.

Look for inconsistencies in the things that he tells you. Remember it only takes one lie to make him a liar. If you can find just one thing that you know is definitely a lie then how can you trust anything else he’s told you?

4: Do an online background check on your boyfriend to find out if he’s married

When you’ve found out all you can about your boyfriend or girlfriend by talking to him or his friends you can do an online background check on him to find out not only whether he’s married or not but also whether he has a criminal record, whether he has arrest warrants or has ever been declared bankrupt. In fact you can often find out practically anything you might want to know and if it all matches with what he’s telling you then you can put your mind to rest and take your relationship to wherever you want it to go. If it doesn’t then walk away.
